Ok... so DH and I figured we'd be smart last year... and wait until after boxing day to buy a new tree... We wanted one that was bigger since we knew we'd have a baby. So we buy one and bring it home and put it away in the closet. DH takes it out this morning to put it up, and it's friggin BLACK with SPARKLES...LMAO

Can't even return it...

Hahahaha. I agree with PP, just take B&W pics this year and go with the same plan and buy a new tree on Boxing day this year. Maybe just check the box first :P. Also maybe take at least ONE color pic so you guys can laugh about this first Christmas together later!

My stepmom had a black tree for a couple of years but she bought it on purpose. We found that once it is decorated and the lights are on you can't really tell. You might be surprised that its not as awful as you might fear lol. But I agree, go buy another one after Christmas.
