This is month 9 TTC and my OBGYN doctor suggested seeing a fertility doctor to get some tests done, to see if everything is in working order for me and DH.
I was wondering what to expect from the first visit and personal experiences with these appointments? I must admit I am a little nervous about it, as I've had some medical problems in the past (thyroid cancer 2.5 years ago) and after that experience I'm anxious about my body. I do know my hormone levels are fine, as I'm tested frequently. Thank you in advance!

For our first appointment, DW was on CD 4, so they did a bunch of initial testing right then. The standard CD3 testing can really be done CD2 to CD4. So she had bloodwork and a transvaginal ultrasound. I was really glad ladies here had told us to expect the "vag cam", or DW would have been very unpleasantly surprised.
At our first appointment, we went over the testing we'd already had done (CD3 FSH & estradiol, semen analysis) and what testing we still needed (AMH, transvaginal ultrasound with antral follicle count, saline ultrasound). Then she discussed our treatment options and asked which we thought we'd like to do. We actually weren't prepared to answer that question, so we told her we'd have to talk about it and get back to her. After our visit with the doctor, we met the nurse we'd be working with and then they did the bloodwork and transvaginal ultrasound. The whole appointment took about 2 hours.
AMH 0.5, AFC 5-8, FSH 7ish
