DH b!tchfest

Okay, I don't do this very often.  But today's been a doozy.  So, after the tire rotating fiasco I posted about below.

I just woke up from a much needed nap to find our dog scratching frantically at our hardwood floors (he was trying to chew off the pad I put on the chairs so the chairs wouldn't scratch the floors).  DH was about 5-10 feet away 'resting on the couch'.

Are you freakin kidding me?  I had put the dog in his crate right after we got home from Costco because it had started raining and he was a bit dirty from the dog park (I figured he could be in his nice warm crate for a few hours so until we had a chance to clean him properly).

So, DH proceeded to let a dirty dog in the house and then be so out of it that he didn't notice what he was doing 5 feet away from him!  OMG, I don't know if I should leave to go shopping because I'm wondering if he'd just let DD cry in her bed and pretend he couldn't hear her  until I got home (just kidding on this...he's great with DD but sh!t, I'm starting to wonder ;).

Last week, I was literally awoken out of a dead sleep to hear the dog chewing on something.  He had chewed up his collar with DH right next to him playing video games.  How can he be so dense???  He keeps saying it's your dog; but I don't see how you can just let him chew sh!t up right in front of you.  No one asked him to take him out of his crate!

Beware about getting puppies and DH's who have no sense!

Re: DH b!tchfest

  • Isn't it strange how DHs can't hear things going on right next to them? I swear DD has to try for 5 straight minutes to get DH's attention sometimes. 'Daddy, look!' She is not quiet, so I don't know what his problem is.  It royally pisses_me off though....I am like HELLO!!!!!
  • our puppy chewed up; the corner of our wall and molding while he was on the computer. in his defense he thought Marley was chewing on his Kong (he said it sounded like the same sound). DH did fix the damage!

  • Wth is up with his "it's your dog" response. I would be pissed. Like you said, he didn't have to let him out. Goof ball!
  • One of the million reasons that I never want a dog.

    Sorry he's being a butt!

  • Sorry your DH is being such a brat, that really sucks.  In his defense though, our dog chewed on nearly ALL of our brand new dining room chairs with just me and BIL sitting a few feet away and neither of us noticed.  Those dogs can be sneaky.
