Sleep training advice...longish

Were having a bit of sleep regression. I'm wondering if I should be sleep training or going in because she has a need. She has been STTN since she was 6 weeks old until about 3 weeks ago she will be 7 months on the 19th. She is also EBF.
Right now there are so many factors I'm not sure if sleep training is right for her right now. She is teething, we just started solids, she's mastered rolling, and is working hard at crawling.
What I am doing right now is letting her fuss as long as she settles back down and is quiet for a while in between fusses. After 1015 min if she is still fussing I go in and nurse her back down.
She is almost always turned, or flipped over in her crib. I also wonder if her tooth is bothering her, or she has an upset tummy, etc.
I'm afraid because she is so easily soothed that I am undoing the awesome 7pm7am sleep schedule she had before. I'm confused because her cry suggests she needs me but as soon as I offer a breast she settles down, eats, and falls back to sleep quickly. She wakes close to the same time every night so she may just need to eat. I'm just not sure! I need suggestions/reassurance.
Sorry this turned into a long ramble. I've been spoiled by uninterrupted sleep for far too long. Night wakings are not my friend! I can try to clarify if you have questions.

Re: Sleep training advice...longish

  • How long has she been doing this? If it's only a few nights, I would give her time. Like you've said, she might be going through something where she needs you. However, if this has been going on longer than a week, then you might need to work on sleep training. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much. It's probably just temporary.

  • My LO did this for about a week and I think it was from teething. My mom says babies sometimes go thru phases where they just need to know someone is there for comfort.
