MIA, but with new baby!

Hi, all! I've been MIA for the past week, but it's because of the baby coming and me not finding the time to get online!

Ava Emilie was born on December 1, at 8:03 pm. I've been pretty overwhelmed this week, which my doula calls "hell week"!

But, my birth story is one for the grandkids! I spent all day laboring at home and we made it to the hospital just in time for me to start pushing. I got the natural birth I really wanted and feel like wonder woman!! It was the hardest, but the best thing I've ever done in my life. But since then, I think I've never been so exhausted in my life.

I've been having a hard time breastfeeding, so I'm seeking help from La Leche League, and probably (once I finally have time to get back online) from the ladies on the breastfeeding board.

Well, that's the best I could do right now, as I'm hovering between waking and being less awake! Take care everyone, and good luck on all the births this month. Looks like they're coming fast and furious!
