I really wish I'd stopped reading that before I did. I get power plays and control, but the thought of fantasizing about the sh!t that gave me PTSD and that still impacts me every day, nearly 8 and a half years later... I can't grasp that.

Reading that sh!t about proceeding past "no" was enough of a trigger I had to close my office door to refocus without someone wondering why I was shaking.
