Vent. KNPR.

Tomorrow kicks off a girls' weekend with a trip to the mountains. At first it was four of us, then I asked a girlfriend of mine (doesn't know anyone else going), who said she wanted to go. This makes it only $70/person.

She emailed me Wednesday that she didn't want to go. Nobody else could find a 5th person on this notice. She said she'd pay her $70.

Now she's passive aggressive, saying my friend wasn't clear, her friends are more 'defined' when it comes to $, etc. Making it sound like my fault, and I even offered to pay 1/2 of her $70, since I shouldn't make other people pay more because she bailed after she confirmed.

I'm also a nervous wreck about leaving DS. My H is perfectly capable, I just am being irrational.

Sorry about the tl;dr. You can have this.

  • Can I still eat the bacon if I read the whole thing?

The bonding time will be good for your H and DS.

    Of course!

And you're absolutely right. I need to remember just because he doesn't do something MY way, it doesn't make it wrong.

  • I don't know what to say about your friend. She wouldn't be in the predicament if she hasn't waited until the last second to back out.

As far as you, your family will be fine. Enjoy the time away!

  • Your friend should pay the $70 since she's backing out just because she doesn't want to go. If she had a legitimate excuse, I could see making other arrangements for the costs, but it doesn't sound like she does.

I'm sure your son and your husband will probably have a blast this weekend just the two of them! Enjoy your weekend too!

You're right, she would 'rather veg in front of the TV'.

Thank you! You do the same!
