"I almost lost DD in a storm drain this morning"
As I was latching the gate DD took off and nearly stepped off the curb into a storm drain. I caught her, but it freaked me out. She usually sticks to the sidewalk but today she was hell bent on running into the road. She is getting quicker, stronger and more determined to go where she wants to go, and she usually wants to go in the opposite direction we need to be going.

Burned by the Bear
I am so glad that you caught her in time! I know that must have been terrifying.
Normally I am against leashes but maybe some of our more strong-willed kiddos need them at times... think we may be heading that direction too!
I plan on getting one at some point! I like this one I think. They have all different animals:

Glad your LO is ok.

I saw that earlier. I like it. She might be getting one for Christmas. I like this one, but no way am I spending the money on it. It has a retractable leash, but they want $28.

That is terrifying.
I am pro leash. My son loved his.
The other day, Gator was in the tub and I was sitting next to it. I reached to grab her soap just as she decided she was going to face plant right into the water. Scared the crap out of me. Fast little ones!
