Stop bugging me (rant)

So today is my birthday. My mother decided from the day she heard my due date that LO would arrive today instead of the 23rd. My uncle was born on his mom's birthday, and my sister was born on our grandfather's birthday, so Mom has decided the tradition is destined to continue. She has already called me this morning and asked me if anything's happening and how I feel, and to say she hopes my water breaks today. She was with me on Tues when I went to the OB and they said LO was head down but was not engaged and my cervix has made no progress- and Mom is a LD nurse and KNOWS that means labor is not likely today...and the rest of my family will do the same with the calling and bugging me once they get up (they're not morning people)...OMG..leave me alone! I have NO control over when LO decides to show up, but it seems she wants her own birthday, and there's not a thing I can do about it. Quit bugging me!

    Happy Birthday!!

    Sorry about your mom bothering you.  Every time I call my mom she asks "Is this the call?" Umm, no.  I just wanted to say hi. So I stopped calling her.

    First off....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

    Whether your baby comes today or not I hope you have a wonderful day.

    secondly, my sister had our mother doing the same thing with her last baby. He son was born on our mothers birthday. And my sisters EDD with her daughter was our dads birthday...she came 4 days late :-/ the funny thing is, our mother pouted about it, dad was just happy to play with another baby!! Lol
