Brushing LO's Teeth.

DD used to love when I brushed her teeth.  Now she hates it, screams and won't let me near her mouth.  I usually either give up or let her chew on the toothbrush for awhile hoping she cleans some of her teeth by doing this.  Any tips?

Are you using toothpaste? Or no?

Yes, colgate kids.  She likes the taste because she will let me put the brush in long enough for her to eat the toothpaste.

I need tips too.  We are going through the exact same thing.

The only way I can brush his teeth is by holding him down, screaming

Then maybe try a different brush? Like, one of the character brushes of somebody she likes or something.

DS is really picky about his toothbrush. He'll only let me brush his teeth if I use the brush that has suction cups on the bottom, and only if I let him play with it too!

I give LO her toothbrush in the bathtub. We take turns brushing her teeth. Then I get the last scrub in. Seems to work. Our pedi recommended the tub part.

We are going through the same thing, except he never liked it. He loves the toothbrush, and he loves the toothpaste, but he won't let me near him. Even a crying battle is useless because I feel like I can't get it done. I just hope that he is cleaning them a little bit when he does them himself. I will keep trying, but I am definitely in the same boat!

H loved it, then she started closing her mouth and only doing the bottom.

I tried something new today.... I let her brush mine while I brushed hers! And it worked!! I would tell her to go "aaahh"
And show her to scrub Mine and then i was able to brush her top. Don't worry, I had already brushed mine so it wasn't her job ;
