Sorry for the delay, but the whole procedure got delayed a good hour or so, and then I had to feed DD as soon as we got back home.
We ended up putting back three blasts of varying quality. One was a expanded blast, one was, for lack of a better term, a regular blast, and one was an early blast. The regular one was a grade 3 of 4 (4 considered the best), and I forget the grades of the others, but basically, the embryologist felt they were the three best ones.
There were also some morulas, which they will keep an eye on for one more day, and I think we have one blast they might freeze.
The procedure went well, and I guess I am now PUPO. I have been so worried about multiples until now, but we ultimately decided we care more about getting pregnant first, and we'll worry about how many we have if we get that far.
In the meantime, I'm on bed rest for 24 hours, so I'm gonna go kick back and catch up on my trash tv for a bit!
Re: ET Done!
Been thinking about you and wondering where you were! Wow....three! Congrats!! Sounds great!
I am dying to know what is going on inside my belly...are they blasts or are they going to implant soon or heaven forbid not. Did all this work?
Ok, tell it to me straight. The tone in this post is different. Are you worried about them? Are you disappointed about something? Am i just reading it wrong?
Hope your trash tv is living up to its glory!!

I guess I'm just a little worried about whether the quality is good enough and/or whether even one will stick. The main cause for concern is my age, and that was the impression I got from my RE when we were discussing how many to put back and our concern about multiples.
She said we put back 3 last time and got 1, so hopefully we'll have the same outcome. She even considered putting back 4, but we weren't all that comfortable with that. I told her we'd ultimately go with whatever she recommended, and she said she would ask the embryologist for the best 3 and we'd go with those.
I am trying to stay optimistic, especially since the quality is slightly better than last time. I guess I just worry whether my age will be a factor at this point. I'm really not as "doom and gloom" as I may sound, just a little nervous about everything.
The valium they gave me for the ET kind of kicked my ass, so I just woke up from a nice long nap. I've got one hour of Housewives under my belt, now I'm going back for another!
Thanks for checking in!

3 does sound great! I don't think I would be too worried if I was in your situation. Do they really think age will be a factor? Are your blasts pretty much what they want for day 5?
You only have a 24 hr bed rest? I have 48 hrs.
I don't sit still very well, but on the other hand I have been saving up books to read and TV shows to watch so a tiny part of me is looking forward to it!
My age definitely doesn't help things, that's for sure. I guess there's still the unknown answer of how well these embies will continue to grow/progress now that they are inside me.
The RE said she was really happy with the quality of the regular blast, and it's pretty much what they want to see for day 5. I think they were happy with the other two, but the quality might not have been as good. There was no point trying to keep up with the specifics of the quality for each one, since there's nothing more to do, and I know we went with the best ones we had.
My RE tends to do 48 hours, but I guess since she liked the results of my blood flow u/s, she was comfortable with 24 hours. I'm staying home tomorrow and taking it easy anyway, but might get a little more mobile starting in the afternoon.
Good luck tomorrow. I'm looking forward to hearing good things from you!
