My DS has his 6 month well visit on Friday. I just received a call from his home health nurse that she is coming tomorrow to give him his synagis. I'm concerned with him getting all of his shots so close together. Has anyone else gotten their synagis shot and all their 6 month shots within 24 hours? Do you think it's to many shots at once? I'm going to ask his pedi but thought I would check with you ladies first.
Re: Synagis and 6 month shots
I think you're fine since A.) Synagis isn't really a vaccine but antibodies for RSV (hence why they have to get it every month) and B.) All the vaccines are inactivated virus (ie, not live). My daughter gets many of her shots as combos, so she actually only get 3 total shots for each of her monthly shots.
However, definitely put a call in to your pedi and see what they recommend.
