Babymoon?

I recently heard this term and had no idea what it meant? (For those you also out of the loop it can mean a vacation you and your significant other take prior or while ttc, during pregnancy, or once the baby is born.)

 

Did anyone take one or plan to? If so when did/ will you go: while ttc, while pregnant, or after birth? And where did/will you go?

I am not pregnant and don?t necessarily think it would be on my must-do list but it sounds kinda fun. I would most-likely take one while pregnant, most likely at the beginning of my second trimester. I would love to go to Ireland but in actuality most likely go to Charleston, SC.

We decided to start TTC in January, and we're taking a trip Disney World.  Maybe we'll come home with a different type of souvenir

I had a babymoon! We went on a cruise to the Bahamas! It was great! It allowed DH and I to have some special bonding time before the baby arrived.

we were married when I was 4 months pregnant... so we figured our honeymoon cruise would just double as our babymoon... It was booked before I got pregnant, and H's grandparents (that paid for it) asked if I still wanted to go... heck yeah I still wanted to go! lol

 I am hoping to start TTC this upcoming July if DH gets onboard with the idea  We are going on a big family vacation the middle of August to Outer Banks NC so I figure that will be a "babymoon" for us!

I am not trying to offend any PP, but I am not a fan of thenbsp;"Babymoon". Why must everything be a huge ordeal? I alsonbsp;dislike gendernbsp;reveal parties and push presents.nbsp; If you want to go on a trip or a weekend getaway, awesome, but the need to make a production of it and call it a Babymoon is over my head. I also wouldn't travel over seas in my second or third trimester but that is just a personal preference. nbsp;

Thank you. It's a vacation nothing more. The travel industry has done a bang up job getting people to buy into this idea.
