New to The Bump

Long Time Lurker

I am a long time bump lurker coming out of hiding? I love the idea of a supportive community that can come together and offer knowledge and encouragement to one another. Like the saying ?it takes a village? in relation to rearing a child, perhaps it takes that same ?village? type mentality to make it through the roller coaster of trying to conceive/ pregnancy/ or adoption without going crazy. But as I said ? I am a long time lurker so I know that the bump is ripe with snark, made up drama, and several Judgey McJudgersons. If you stick around long enough though you get to see a lot of beautiful posts of wisdom and encouragement for other women going through hard times TTC or in life in general. You see a lot of in real life friendships that started on this message board. To me that is what makes it worth it to be a Bumpie.

You can read all the details in my bio, but I have previously TTC without success. However 2012 brought a lot of good change to our lives and DH and I know we are ready to start our family without any hesitation. I am having my mirena removed in January and I figured this time around TTC, I would really enjoy and could use the support of an online community.

I hope to see you Ladies around the Bump! I wish you all the best in your journey to TTC or adopt!
