Touch and Feel Books

My LO is absolutely fascinated with these books.  He loves to feel around on the page until he finds the feely part then he just keeps touching it.  He gets mad if I read him a book that's not touch and feel, and he will beat on the pages then start screaming at it.  Since this is a new favorite thing for him, Santa will definitely be bringing him some more.  I'm looking for some good ones, and wanted to know what you guys would recommend.  LO's favorite right now is That's Not My Teddy.  He loves the teddy with the furry ears, and will turn the page back if he's not done playing with his ears.  I just love that he is enjoying books, and I really want to get him some more good ones.

Re: Touch and Feel Books

  • not sure if you are around a ross but ours has these touch and feel books that are of barnyard animals and zoo animals.  Not sure if you like more stories as these are more like flashcard pages.

  • All the "That's not my" series are his favorites... we have That's not my penguin and That's not my reindeer (it has rudolph at the end)

    they are all cute!

  • Slightly different than a typical touch in feel, but do you have the "In My ___" books?

    Here's an example:

The animal in the middle becomes a finger puppet.  LO loves grabbing at that during storytime...your LO might, too :)

  • We read him this book called "My Baby Face" and it is adorable! It has these faces on each page with different expressions babies make. C cracks up and gets so excited! There is a mirror at the end so he can look at himself too. He also loves those touch n feel books too.

  • Thanks for the ideas ladies.  We do have a Ross so I will definitely check it out.  I also like the idea of the puppet in the book, I'm sure he would love it!!
