My ds will be 6 months next week. He has been a great sleeper from day 1 but I've had issues. He was sleeping through the night for the longest time up until 6 weeks ago. Now he wakes up a few times a night and woke sleep unless he's next to us, then he sleeps fine. During the day he will not nap unless he's held. As soon as I move he wakes up and cries. He hates being put down in general even when he's awake. I can get him to go in his bouncer for about 10 mins Max then he screams til I pick him up. He also wont eat bottles during the day, lately I'm lucky to get one 5 oz bottle in him all day long. I've talked to the doc and he said its all fine but I'm going crazy. I can't hold him all day but if I don't he literally screams! What do I do?!
Re: help!!
This should be a phase. Your LO is probably experiencing some separation anxiety. Try to do some enjoyable playtime in the crib, play peek-a-boo, etc.Anything that helps him like the crib and helps understand that mommy goes and comes back.
Your LO needs reassurance, from what it sounds.
You can also wear him for a bit too.

Honestly, I believe that whatever sleep arrangement gets you guys to get the most sleep without the any extra stress, is the best sleeping arrangement for you! If your LO sleeps best next to you in bed then that's what you should do! Babies actually sleep better when they are next to their Moms. When they sleep with a familiar, predictable person it helps the baby get through their vulnerable light sleep periods and it allows them to fall back asleep before awakening fully.
If your LO won't let you put him down during the day, then try to wear him in a sling, dance with him around the house, and also you can even nurse while wearing him! It takes some practice, but it's a skill that definitely comes in handy. I know it can be hard, but keep reminding yourself that your baby isn't capable of manipulation. When he cries he is trying to communicate with you!
It sounds like you might benefit from reading Dr.Sear's Fussy Baby Book. It has been a lifesaver for my family! I hope your LO calms down soon!
