I went to pick Olivia from school today and her teacher asked if she could talk to me after all the kids were gone, this happens alot because Oliva doesnt alwyas rember personal soace or gets very frustrated when people dont understand what she is trying to express. Needless to say I was dreading this small meeting. Anyways long story short the teacher wanted to tell me how well behaved and cooperative miss livy was today! She used the potty all day and was not sent to the time out spot once!!!
I am in tears she has come so far and I am so lucky to be her mommy! She got a specialfrosty from wendy's and to pick a book from the library for doing such a super star job!! Plus I got to see beans heartbeat again! And I decided today that even though im very confident in my decesion and I know its the best I want to start seeing a councelor. I think it can only help...
Re: Such a good day
That does sound like a wonderful day! Congrats to you. I'm sure she loved her treat from Wendy's. (that's DH's favorite treat too!).
Although I'm not facing the same decisions as you, I would agree about the counseling. Even if you are confident, counseling could give you someone to talk to about all the emotions that come with this decision. I imagine you are dealing with a lot and are busy being a support for your daughter -- a counselor would be a support for you. GL!
It's always the best to get news that your child is shining! I'm so happy for you.
I believe that counseling/therapy never hurts, and can really help you feel more at peace. I hope you find someone to work with that you hit it off with right from the start and that it goes well from there. My thoughts and prayers are always with you.
What a great day! I know I always felt so proud when other people noticed the progress our foster sons were making. For some reason it just made it more real!
I am a huge advocate of counseling/therapy. It is such a great way to work through all of life's stuff.
Make sure you get a treat too tonight! You are doing an awesome job!

That is awesome, yay Olivia! I love that she got a book at the library as a reward, I am semi-obsessed with the library and kids learning to love reading, that is awesome!
Also that's great about counseling, it truly can only help. Thoughts and prayers for you, your daughter and your little bean
