If you can guess this toy that I'm looking for I will give you all these donuts!  My son was playing with them at his new preschool yesterday and I'd love to get them for him as a Christmas present.

 

I apologize but my description is going to be pathetic:

-They are kinda like legos, because you can build with them. 

-The connect but they connect with stabby things?  Not real stabby (this is a kids toy) I can't think of the word. Like points, they point up and connect with the things that point down.

-They come in all different sizes and colors.

-They are not Lincoln Logs.

 I'm so sorry this is so horrible.  Throw some ideas out, someone has to just have a random guess.

I had bristle blocks as a kid and I loved them.

They are very stabby when stepped on.

We are fans of Magna-tiles for building.  Not as painful on the feet - just something to think about!

He loved them so much he picked up the basket and tried to take the whole thing home.  Silly kid.
