Well this time they saw a fetal pole measuring 5w 2 or 4 days. Which equates to about 2 days of growth over 8 days. So I'm going back for one more ultrasound next Tue but based on this info it's very, very unlikely to result in a viable pregnancy. But he wants to have another follow up more to give me peace of mind that I've given this pregnancy a 100% complete chance.
I prayed a lot on my way in and thought I would have a 100% answer about this today. But that's just not the case yet, even though I have an extremely likely answer.
I'm just feeling pretty numb about the whole thing.
I'm thinking a lot about what's to come. I'm going to likely have a D & C and testing done to determine if there were chromosomal abnormalities, which is what my RE and I both suspect.
After that he's going to do full RPL testing for me. But I made a list of the things that I am guessing it might be based on all that I know as of now...
Thyroid - when it was tested at 12DPO for this pregnancy it was 2.5. He said it was within normal range, but I've read elsewhere that it could still be considered too high at that level. Does anyone know? Can it hurt to be on the thyroid meds anyway? I'm thinking maybe I need to have repeated tests perhaps at different times in my cycle (and if I were to be trying meds) to make sure it's functioning properly?
Cysts - Both my May pregnancy and this one they have found large cysts on my ovaries. The first one they were concerned enough to do an MRI. It came back that it was nothing to worry about. But now I'm wondering - is it possible for the cysts to be interfering? I asked my OBGYN about that previously and she said no, but now both times they have seen large cysts on my ovaries so it's got me thinking. But if there are corpus luteum cysts isn't that a good thing?
Uterine lining - When I had my MRI for the cyst they found evidence of either uterine adenoydosis or endometriosis. I know endometriosis can affect ability to get pregnant but that doesn't seem to be my problem. Can these conditions possibly affect implantation? Since I already have a son, I don't know if this is a likely possibility or not.
Scarring from c section? Any other scarring or polyps in uterus? I'm just wondering if this could be a possibility. I will have an HSG so I guess they will find that out then if that's the case.
Progesterone? I started it this time at 200mg 2x/day suppository as soon as I got my positive at 12 DPO. I am wondering if it should be started earlier. Also, they didn't continue to test those levels so I don't know if it was enough to bring my levels up to normal or not. Is that the highest dosage they administer??
Well, I know all of these are questions that I will be discussing with my RE. But I was just wondering if any of you had any experience or knowledge on any of these questions.
It's obviously a very difficult time right now for me and my husband. But I think that if my RE can rule out ALL other possibilities for miscarriage other than egg quality, that we will keep trying. I do not want to go the route of egg donation. I know that that may mean I will suffer more losses. But if it's just a matter of time before we get a good egg, right now I feel like I am willing to keep trying. But if there's a chance that there could be one of the other factors at play then of course I would want to get that addressed first.
I am so, so scared for my future but I know it is in God's hands. I really appreciate any info and any thoughts and prayers you can spare. I feel so numb but I feel like my heart is slowly breaking in pieces again.
Thanks again and many hugs to all out there going through these challenges. I wish no one had to go through this.

Re: 2nd ultrasound results & some questions for you all (partial XP from PgAL)
Oh my. There's a lot going on. I am so sorry.
My most recent miscarriage was with a PGS normal embryo. Fetal pole never developed. I did not want to have a D&C and risk injury or scarring. You may want to think over the potential risks, especially if you are already worried about a potential lining issue.
Both of my RE's start progesterone right after ovulation. If you wait until you test, the damage may already be done. I don't think there's much harm in supplementing.
I agree that TSH of 2.5 is too high. I am supplementing thyroid meds to keep mine below 2.
I have been around the block on RPL testing. PM me if you want further details. I hope your RE is able to help sort things out.
