Ladies who developed HELLP please come in!!

I went for my yearly physical about 3wks ago and had blood work done, I let my Dr. know that I developed HELLP in my pregnancy and wanted her to make sure they checked in on my platelets and liver enzymes again just to make sure all was good.

(My son is 7 months now) two weeks after I delivered my platelets were up to 233

Well I get my results back and my platelets are back down to 113, now I've read that a lot of times women who develop hellp have an unknown underlying blood coagulation issue which can be determined with a simple blood test.

Is there anyone who can give me a little more knowledge of this? Have any of you went on to still have low platelets? any info is welcome!!

I go to see a hematologist Thursday but I'm just interested to hear others experiences.

That stinks.  My platelets never really dropped very low, my liver enzymes were the biggest problem.  I've had blood work since and everything seems fine now.  Hope you get some answers soon.

Well my bilirubin is slightly over normal range also so I'm pretty nervous, and thanks I should have some answers soon.

I had e-clampsia and HELLP, but just assumed everything was normal. I got checked a month after the baby and my levels were  back in the normal range. I haven't had them checked since as I never thought it would be an issue. I will be sure to have them check at my next physical. I hope you get answers soon!
