Dissolvable Staples

Has anyone had the dissolvable staples after the c-section? Did you have any reaction to them? Im going on 3 months & still having to deal with an open wound due to an infection of the staple. I am home bound & my wound care dr says i have to limit my activity & weight lifiting...I find this to getting depressing to me. My baby is getting bigger & heavier for me that i can carry him alot & really shouldnt only if im laying down or sitting down. I just hope for better days ahead. My dr took a sample of my wound today & will have it tested to see if it got infected again to see why it is not healing. Sorry I had to vent this out.

man that sucks! I haven't had my c section yet but I believe I may have dissolvable staples when I do. I'm sorry I hope you get better soon

I had dissolvable stitches, not staples. Not sure if that is the same thing. I actually requested it before he started. I DID NOT want them to go back and have to remove staples from that tender part of my body.

I didn't have any bad reaction or problems. One tiny end got a bit red and a little puffy, but never opened.

I am dealing with the same problem! It is SO frustrating! My OB hasn't referred me to a wound care specialist yet but said if it my incision spot doesn't heal in 2 more weeks, we will go to "plan B". My spot that will not heal is not infected, it is apparently just super stubborn where my body "rejected" one of the stitches. My DH has to clean and bandage it 2x per day. I am supposed to go back to work in 2 weeks and am PRAYING that it is fully healed by then. Good luck to you!
