Party favors

DD is having a very girly party (My Little Pony) we are inviting her class, so there will probably be boys there. If we do party favors, should I not do it pony related, or do one for girls and one for boys, or let them choose, or...

I vote for all the same or let them choose, my son usually would prefer the "girl" toy over the "boy" one so I cringe at someone telling him he cannot have a pony as a favor for a My Little Pony party and instead giving him something he will not like.  I think it is awesome that you are thinking of this instead of assuming all boys will be horrified at a pony.

I just did the favors for DD's party this weekend - instead of the pink and glittery necklaces, I bought bright ones so they were for boys and girls.  Last year, I had mostly neutral stuff in her gift bags, but I switched out the heart shaped bracelets from the "boys" bags for little army men.

I would do a book, coloring stuff or something along those lines.  I have done plastic drinking glasses and got different ones for the boys and girls and I have seen that done with books and coloring stuff.  I would just avoid the junky trinket type things.  DD just got a big ball at a party this past weekend and loves it.

This. DS, much to my delight, it totally loving My Little Pony, and I have a feeling he would be thrilled to get some My Little Pony party favors.

Thanks for the ideas! I know my son like whatever his sister likes right now. So how could I deprive a little boy of a pony?!
