Another Monday, another check-in! A quick congrats to starlee_99 on the birth of her daughter, Sophia Grace! (Happened in November, but her due date was in December, so it seemed apropos to mention here.)
Can you believe it's December already?! Where has 2012 gone? Hopefully the Mayans just ran out of room for their calendar and the world will not, in fact, end in a few weeks, but if it did, it would save me a helluva lot of stroller research...

Re: PG>35 Weekly Check-In: December Already!? Edition
I always tell people that Die Hard is my favorite. I love Miracle on 34th Steet (the old one). My H loves It's a Wonderful Life and I can't stand it.
My vent is that I've had a headache off and on for the last week and Tylenol does nothing. Stupid sinuses, although if that's the worst thing I've got, I guess it's not too bad.

I love Elf and A Christmas Story. I also enjoy the newest Grinch movie.

Trying to schedule my C/S for the end of January. The patient coordinator called tonight and said the only time on the day we picked was 12:30. There is no way I can not eat or drink after I wake up for that long. I almost started crying just thinking about it and I got upset. Silly hormones. She is supposed to call back to see if they have something earlier the day after. In other news, I am down to appts. every 2 weeks so that's exciting.
Oh, I think I need to be updated to TEAM GREEN! MH and I have discussed it and discussed it and unless a sonographer or my OB messes up and tells me (or we see the results in the MaterniT21 test), we're going to wait until we meet the P?pite to learn if it's a boy or a girl.
QOTW: I used to watch "A Christmas Carol" (only the George C. Scott version) with my sister every year. But now that we're all grown-up and we don't live in the same house, I think she has the copy of it. I should buy that. I do enjoy "Elf" for some bizarre reason. And "It's A Wonderful Life." When we were little, we used to get a movie in our stocking and I would wake my sister up early and after she and I opened our stockings, we'd watch it together. When we were apart after college, I'd call her and wake her up early and we'd watch "The Princess Bride" on Christmas morning at the same time while staying on the phone. But that ended when she had her daughter 9 years ago...
Updates/Vents: I'm officially going through my dressing room (yes, I have a whole room because our bed takes up the entire space of our little bedroom) to put all my non-maternity clothes in totes for storage. I have a few items that will last a little longer, but not much. I'm really starting to pop. Soon, I think I'll have one big belly instead of two medium bellies.
Vent: I'M STILL NAUSEOUS. #$@%&!!! Not nearly as much as I was before, but last night, I threw up an entire slice of pizza and it did not taste as good the 2nd time around. Tonight, I threw up salmon. It's never a ton, but I so thought I was done with this. It's still worse at night. I am unthrilled with this development, to say the least. Saturday, I was doing post-mortem care on a patient of mine and I had to step out of the room. I felt so disrespectful, but I did not want to vomit in the room with her (THAT would be disrespectful on a massive level!)... I am usually a tough cookie, but this is kicking my arse!
My Ovulation Chart
My name is bethz13. Our due date is 7/15/13. We are team green. We both have 2 teenage children from our first marriage, but this is our first (surprise baby) together.
Fav Christmas movies: I love Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, because of Hermie the elf who wants to be a dentist. I also love Miracle on 34th Street. (New and old versions)
Vent: I'm tired, I'm old, I'm gassy, I'm constipated and I can't sleep! And I can't complain about any of those things because we aren't telling anyone until the 2nd trimester. Thanks for listening to me whine!
Favorite holiday movie - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys. Actually, I love any of those 60s/70s puppet/claymation ones.
Update: I cannot believe I'm still pregnant. Officially past the timing for my last baby. He dropped yesterday, so hallelujah, I can breath, but now walking, standing, sitting are difficult. I want him to make his appearance, but tomorrow is the angel-versary of the lo we lost between #4 & #5, so maybe Wednesday (wishful thinking) since today is almost over.
Since I have GD, of course, timing is now becoming an issue. Even if I were up for being induced at 39 wks, they can't because my 3rd was a c/s, so I'm a little stressed about him coming SOON to avoid another c/s due to size concerns.
Labor dust & T&Ps would be ever so appreciated.
QOTW: What is your favorite holiday movie? Are there a few that you watch every single year? Love Actually is my fav Cmas movie and Christmas Vacation is DH's fav.

Favorite holiday movie is the original Miracle on 34th St. I haven't seen it yet this year because I can't find my DVD! I will be buying it on Amazon prime very soon if I can't find it.
I also love A Christmas Story and of course,It's a Wonderful Life. I watched it Saturday and that last scene makes me cry every time!
I'm very happy to finally be able to do a check-in!
You got it sister- hang in there! ((hug))
QOTW: What is your favorite holiday movie? Are there a few that you watch every single year? I usually watch A Christmas Story, it never gets old, and the national lampoon ones because they remind me of my dad, those movies make him laugh until he's in tears, we have a sick sense of humor in my family..lol..
Share your updates and vents: My A/S is this afternoon!!!! I'm excited but nervous, I've been having horrible nightmares the past few days which I'm sure are anxiety related...I had my quad screen almost 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything so I'm under the assumption it turned out ok, I don't go back to my OB until the 17th. Other than that, horrible heartburn is kicking in but I'm feeling little boy squirm and kick around all the time now, it's such a weird thing to even try to explain what it feels like, but I love it!!!!

GL- will be thinking of you this aft- FX everything goes well!
QOTW: I always watch It's a Wonderful Life. Then I talk through the whole movie about all things Jimmy Stewart and annoy DH.
Updates/Vents: My girl is really getting active. DH is starting to get more chances to feel kicks and less nervous about touching my stomach. I had the GD test and another 24 h urine so hopefully everything comes back OK. I go to the MFM next week and then my OB wants to start weekly ultrasounds soon. My pre-e is not getting better but it is not getting worse so that is good news.
After all of the DH freakouts, we have one for real. There is a marathon going through our neighborhood the day after my due date. There was an article in our paper about the concerns because in the past, emergency vehicles were not able to get in or out of our neighborhood for 5 hours on the day of the race and residents could not leave. They are having meetings to figure out a plan but have not gotten anywhere yet. I can't believe that there are no options so hopefully something will be figured out before March.
Have you tried the belly band?
QOTW: I love holiday movies and we have a bunch that we watch every year. Favorites are Christmas Vacation, Elf and Bad Santa. I also love Miracle on 34th Street.
Updates: Today is 20 weeks yay! I am getting overwhelmed thinking of all there is to be done, I have not done or bought anything so far! I'm feeling mostly good except for daily headaches. My doctor says headaches tend to peak between 16-20 weeks so I hope that is true and I get some relief soon.

Favorite holiday movie Miracle on 34th st. The old one not the re-make
updates and vents Not much her Just excited to be here.
My faves are "It's a Wonderful Life" and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
My breech baby has NOT turned and our attempt at an external version didn't work, so I am scheduled for my first c-section on 12/12/12. Eek! Nervous and am frantically trying to do five million more things for Christmas and baby prep before I go to the hospital. Trying to finish shopping, get the tree up, wrap gifts, etc. I can't believe we have a date (assuming I don't go into labor first and also assuming baby doesn't suddenly turn) and that Baby will be here next week!!! Crazy. Um, oh yeah, and we also need to finalize NAMES.
Favorite movies are A Christmas Story and I remember we use to watch A Christmas Carol (the one with George C Scott) every year but I don't think I've seen it on TV the last couple of years?
Updates: I think I'm feeling baby move around a little more. At least I'm pretty sure it's baby and not gas. Looking forward to my appointment next week with my perinatologist. His u/s is so much better and detailed than my regular OB/GYN's.
QOTW: Must be popular for us older mom's - original Miracle on 34th street. Although, can't say that I watch it every year or anything.
Updates/Vents: We had our NT scan yesterday - saw baby moving around which was incredible..awww! baby had one foot in the air the whole time. Ultrasound tech had some trouble getting consistant NT numbers, unfortunately seemed to stick with the higher ones ~2.5mm. Had some blood work done, but they said results could take up to 2 weeks - boo! I have my monthly appointment next week, so I am still holding out hope that they will have results then.
We also told a bunch of friends over the weekend. We had a few holiday parties to go to. Was fun seeing all the reactions, but also a little scary being that I am a worrier and its out there! Not out on fb yet as have more people to tell in person over the holiday.
Not much to vent about, been feeling pretty good!

QOTW - White Christmas and Love Actually - adore them both.
Update - I passed my glucose tolerance test last week! Baby has been uber active the past week. I am still recovering from my first migraine while pregnant - not fun and still dealing with morning sickness at the end of the 2nd tri. Can't believe I hit 26 weeks on Wednesday. WE started our registry last week and I finished knitting the baby blanket. I need to start on a sweater now....
I'd like to be added to the list!

QOTW: I'm a Rudolph fan.
Updates: I had my 2nd ultrasound today with my RE. Baby was measuring 6 weeks 5 days, which is a little under what I was expecting after last week's ultrasound, but the RE didn't seem concerned even when I questioned him. HR was 140! Yay! I'm really starting to think that this one might stick around. DH and I told our parents today because they are going to be here next week and for the holidays and it would be obvious to them with me being so nauseated and tired as well as avoiding alcohol, etc. I have another follow up ultrasound next week and then I officially graduate to my regular OB. However, I'm seeing her this Friday as that's when they could fit me in. I'm crossing fingers that everything continues to go well. Now, if I could just find a cure for this nausea which is currently kicking my rear-end...

FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!
QOTW: So many to choose from, a couple of my favs are the Grinch (the old cartoon version) Miracle on 34th street and A Christmas Story
Vent: I CANNOT sleep. I don't remember having this with either of my other kiddos, but every night I seem to be up about 5 times. It's making me crazy and making it really hard to focus at work, I feel like a zombie. And my allergies, I have year round and have been doing shots for about 4 months. I went cold turkey off meds when I found out I was pregnant, but they are worse when it rains, and it's been coming down in buckets the last few days.....ok, gripe over, can't believe it's december and I'm 10 weeks already!!!! It's flying by.....
