When people are trying to decide on names they always say things like "Boy names are hard!" or "Girl names are hard!" So which do you think are hardest? Boys or Girls?

I thought boys names were hard. I think I thought this because we only liked about 5 names and that is what we went to the hospital with. And narrowed it down after DS was born. If we were having another boy, It would be down to 2 maybe 3 names.
Now that Im pregnant with a DD. We have 28 names on our list and it continues to grow daily. So now Im certain girl names are harder.

I think it depends on how each person defines "harder". Some people say boy names are harder because they like SO many that they can't pick just one, others say boy names are harder because they can't find ANY that they like.
For me, I picked girl names because I like a fair amount but don't LOVE any at this point. With boy names, I like fewer, but the ones I do like I like a lot and am excited to use. So that makes boy names easier for me, even though I have fewer on the list.
For me, it is girl names. They either remind me of someone I know/knew (usually in a negative connotation) or they sound "prissy", "slutty", etc.

By myself, I don't have a hard time with either side. I love a multitude of boy's and girl's names.
With H mixed in, it's harder depending on how you look at it.
He and I have a greater similarity in taste for boy names. So we have a hard time narrowing down our choices for boys. But, on the flip side, it's not hard to come up with the names. We've got boy names aplenty!
Girls, on the other hand, we have a harder time agreeing on what we like. Our tastes are a little bit different. However, that makes it easier to decide as far as, "oh look, we've got one name in common that we both really like, I guess that's our girl name!"
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
This exactly. I have a long list of girl names that I like, but none that jump out at me saying ME ME ME. I have a shorter list for boy names, but I like each one of them a LOT.
For me, girl names are harder, but that's probably because I've had a solid boy name picked out since I was a teenager (after my Dad) that my husband agreed to.
But there are so many lovely girl names out there to choose from...
Girls names are harder for us because I feel that you have a lot less leeway with boy names. We wanted something traditional but not stodgy, masculine (not unisex), and for pregnancy #1 we very quickly picked a name we both liked. It took months and months after that fateful ultrasound to pick a girl name when we found out we had no need for that boy name at that point.
Now it's even worse because we shredded so many girl names for DD#1 that now that we're having DD#2 we have nothing we both really love.
