Late Term and Child Loss

Maybe this will work

Well I hope this will help. I made an appointment to see a grief counselor today. I find myself becoming very angry with those I love the most. I feel angry with my husband that he is coping so much better than I am. My best friend is trying to get pregnant with her third and I feel like I am dreading the day she tells me that she got a BFP. I know that I should not feel this way and I have tried different things but nothing has helped long term. So I am hoping that counseling will give me some tools so I can stop being angry at the world.

  • I hope it works for you. Does your area have a pregnancy/infant loss support group? Mine has helped a lot. I'm also very close with my grief counselor and she helps a ton.

  • I hope this helps for you as well. I've gotten info for it, just haven't taken the plunge. My question to others, how did you locate an infant loss support group in your area? I wish they wee like AA, there's always a meeting somewhere if we need it, instead of 1 time per month.

  • Good luck! Remember, success in counseling is often directly related to the relationship you have with your counselor. You may need to talk to more than one person before you find someone you really click with! However, any good grief counselor should be able to help you find some beneficial tools and resources.

  • Not that I know of but I am hoping the grief counselor I am going to see on Wed. will have some resourses for me. Thanks I am glad it has worked for you.
