when my oldest sister was in her teens, she swore up and down she was going to name her little girl "jamaica mercedes" one day, and thought it was so beautiful. she now has 4 LOs, none of which got that oh-so-beautiful name haha...
just wondering, did anyone have names they were set on or dreaming about growing up that they can look back and laugh about now? i can admit, i once saw then name "xebecca" when i was like 15 and thought it was the coolest name i'd ever seen haha... my taste in names has TOTALLY changed since then!

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
I loved:
Christina, Antonia, Nora, Mae, Lee, Elizabeth, Christian and Clair.
I'm still in love with Elizabeth, Antonia and Mae. I don't hate the other ones.
oh my! now that's a good one!
When I was little I wanted a little girl named Darcy.
My BIL once told us that if they had a boy they would name him Gnarly but now that they are pregnant they've told us that name is no longer a go
OMG! What's funny is that I am sure there is probably some poor kid out there with this name and spelling
In high school I was telling a classmate that I liked Bible names for boys. She said, "Like what, Exodus?"
And I kind of liked it! I never really considered it but I knew of a male and female Genesis and I figured it wasn't too far off. Now, no way! Oh, and btw, I meant the actual names in the Bible, like Seth, Isaac, Abraham etc.
As a younger teen I liked you-neek spellings for girls. It was always a fairly classic name but I would try to invent some spelling I'd never seen before. Because, you know, it makes the child so you-neek and speshal. Why be Caitlin when you can be Kaitlynne? I know that's not as crazy as some of the awful things we see on here but it still makes me shake my head at my younger self.
Great minds! When I was a little girl I wanted twins too. Boy and girl, named Taylor and Tyler.
