Okay. Seriously.
When Oscar was introduced and TDog died- many a jokes were made about "heh heh, can only be one token black guy apparently..."
Ok, so at the beginning of last night's episode we are introduced to Tyrese. And true to form, Oscar gets shot by a Woodbury militia folk.
Can there seriously be only ONE black guy in Rick's group?
Aside from that, last night's episode was pretty intense. The Andrea/Michonne stand off with the sword and gun was intense.
And omfg Merle/Daryl! Do you think the Governor attempts to make them fight to the death?
How about Carl the little bad ass? The silencer on his pistol is pretty sweet.
And I can see Tyrese's wife/girlfriend annoying me. I think she will be the new Lori and we can all safely channel our hate into her.

That fight scene with Michonne and the governor had me cringing and covering my eyes - the glass, the pickled heads -ewwww!
And, honestly, I kind of hope Merle gets it. As horrible as the governor is, Merle is responsible for Penny's final death. He told the governor Michonne was dead.
Part of me wants Merle to live.
But that is only because I have a soft spot in my heart for Michael Rooker.
Lurker here! I thought the episode was really good, the entire standoff was pretty intense. Part of me kind of thinks that the thing with Merle being a traitor was staged, and they're setting him up to escape with Daryl so he can be their inside man at the prison. I will be interested to see if Andrea helps Daryl at all.
The only complaint I have is that they kind of made me feel sorry for the Governor about his daughter. Part of me knows he is insane and a sick man, but then I felt bad for him when he was cradling her dead body.
I actually love this part. He walks a fine line between enjoying the gruesomeness of his life and all the killing, but at the same time, hoping there is still humanity in the walkers. I hope his character sticks around for a while, but now that he's not fighting to save Penny, I'm not sure that he'll stay the same.
I am so conflicted with the Gov. he is creepy and horrible and an all around bad guy...but every scene with his daughter was just kinda heartbreaking (maybe it's because my daughters name is penny ha!) and since Merle lied abotu Michonne being dead and all I can see why the gov. was out for blood.
andrea...still the worst. although the look on her face when they brought daryl out and was great. I would like to belive it was a realazation that "hey those folks I was shooting at yeah they were once my group" or maybe even a "huh...maybe just maybe I once again picked the wrong guy to sleep with"

Carl and Carol are both kinda turnong around the way I felt about them last year. And I did a huge LOL when carol was taking with the creeptastic red-head prisoner about not trying to re-populate the earth and he wa all like "Maggie's with glenn and your a lesbian with your lesbian hair"
Also...Glenn is becoming pretty bad-ass to.
Merle *sigh* you know...he isn't the best all around person. I mean lets face it...He earned those handcuffs in season one...but for some reason I still like him. I am kinda hoping he goes back to ricks group now that he has seen how skeevy the Gov. is.
I read the comics...so haviing tyresse show up made me squeal in excitment. haha

Did you catch the part when Hershel says that Axle and Carol are standing guard in the watch tower? The same place Maggie and Glenn go to DTD. I wonder if they are hinting at a little extra curricular activities there? If so...
How would Daryl take that? I always viewed a bit of a connection between Daryl and Carol. Then on one of the Talking Dead episodes someone made a comment of a Mother/Son relationship- huh?
Daryl-Carol? Yes no? Celebrity couple name? Caryl? Darol? Caredare?
I think she is boning him. Why else would she correct him? I agree with you.
hmmmm I did catch that but didn't make the connection! perhaps! I don't think a carol/daryl love connection is there besides the friendship. After sophia and the whole both being from abusive relationships thing. But I also don't think daryl would like a carol/axle hook up either as he is super protective of her. I am however intrested in what they do with Tyrese and his group.

I thought this at first to. But then I realized something...just how many woodbury peope are actually trained in fighting? I mean look at the "best archer" they had...she missed the stupid walker like twice (at fairly close range) before andrea jumped down and finished it off. Daryl would have taken it out with one shot.
I totally forgot that was her background lol.
How about the scenes they showed of the second half of this season during the credits? Carl telling Rick he should step down seemed pretty intense.
I dunno if that can be pinned on Merle. Penny shoulda been offed a looooong time ago. By the Governor.
I would hope someone would put me out of my misery if I was bitten. Right then, DH! Don't let me die and then chop off my head. Just chop off my head. It'll be less painful.

How do you become cured from bodies becoming entirely decomposed?
I think they may find a way to cure those who are still alive, but I think the ones who have died and have turned are a lost cause.
I hope it never ends.
Great episode. Still cannot get over how quickly this season is moving. So much action, like, all the time.
I thought the same thing about the 1 black dude. When they showed him in the beginning, I told H, "oh there are actually going to be 2 black guys!" and then....not so much.
Andrea sucks. She has got to be the worst judge of character on the planet. It was bad enough she didn't go with Michonne, but then she seemed to feel for the governor with the whole Penny thing despite a) already claiming the zombies have no feelings, aren't real people etc. and b) not giving twoshits about killing all the family/friends Hershel had kept in the barn, for the same reason.
They showed Daryl in the previews for the next half season (unless they were showing old footage). I don't think they can get rid of him or there would be some majorly pissed off people. There was also a "what is HE doing here?" from Glenn at the prison, which makes me wonder if Merle sticks around? But I really have no clue. The previews show smoke in the pit, so I'm guessing Daryl got that off somehow and maybe both of them escaped?
None of the cells we have now are the cells we were born with. I think I have to have hope for a cure to want to keep watching the show! And, reality check - it's fiction, so yes, there can be a cure, even an instant cure.
You are right, we have different cells than we are born with.
But if my left lung rots off, gets removed for some reason, etc... I don't magically grow another lung.
Same with appendages. Other organs. Etc.
I agree, it is fiction- anything is possible. I will feel really jipped though if they come up with a panacea that not only cures everyone, but magically reconstructs corpses back to life after years (so far, 2, according to last nights show) of death.
I like the show so far because of the permanency of death and it isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
Meh even the comics haven't really ended yet so who knows how long the show will run.
Confession: I really hope the world doesn't end on dec. 21st for a number of reasons...but one of them is that Walking dead is on break till feb. It would drive me crazy if I never found out what happens next!

I want to know if that chick that got bit in the prison is going to turn or if they get her in the head before that. Also, I get the "taking care of your own" think but you'd really rather smash her head in with a hammer than with a bullet? She's dead either way, but still. I'd vote bullet.
Side-note: I thought I had been jaded to all the head smashing, flesh biting, bloody gore from watching TWD. Then this weekend I saw an old SOA episode for the first time where Otto kills the guy laying next to him in the prison hospital by stabbing him in the ear with a scalpel & I was all sorts of skeeved out. Ew, ew, ew, ew!!!
I thought the same thing about the hammer! Could you imagine swinging it down and feeling her face crush beneath the hammer? Ew! Bullet plz.
And we just watches S4 of Sons of Anarchy on Netflix and saw this episode! It gave me the heebie jeebies too!

I actually hate Walking Dead nights more than SOA nights. I settled down with DH to watch and I thought it was SOA, which I am enjoying more now that Jax cut his hair.
I watch Walking Dead, obviously, but I'm not a true fan. I do love Chris Hardwick, though.
I thought, "Oh, he's going to slice that guys throat," & then BAM! He jabs it into the dude's ear...and twists. *cringes*
You do know Chris Hardwick was born in Kentucky and grew up in Tennessee, right?
