Hi everyone. Just thought I would give a little background about me and my precious baby girl. I developed preeclampsia at week 24 and continued to full blown HELLP Syndrome in week 28. The pain I had associated with HELLP was excruciating. My liver and platelet levels dropped from bad to deadly in just a few hours. My lo was born 3 months early and is a fighter. My symptoms cleared within 2 days of delivery. Now the fight for Allie is on. Allie weighed 2 lbs 1 oz and will remain in the NICU for a while. I thought coming to this board will help give me peace of mind while we fight for Allie.

Congrats on your little girl! My LO was born at 28 weeks and is now nearly one. I hope that you and Ally have a short and uneventful stay in the NICU.

There are lots of great resources here, as well as support and encouragement from mommies that have been in your shoes. Best to you!

Congrats and welcome!  My 28 weekers are 16 mo old, they were 2lbs and 2.7lbs, spent 70 days in the NICU.  They are doing great now.  Keep fighting little Allie!

Congrats and welcome! My dd was born at 27 weeks due to preeclampsia and HELLP. It was the worst pain I have ever felt and am sorry you had to go through that. DD weighed 1lb 11oz at birth and 6lbs 7oz when she came home after 79 days in the NICU. She is now almost 12lbs at 5 months and is perfect. Thinking lots of good thoughts for you and Allie.

Welcome and congrats on your little girl! The ladies on this board are wonderful and are very supportive.  My little girl was born at 26w2d due to my water breaking and me getting an infection.  We spent 83 days in the NICU. T&P for Allie!
