I don't care if I have a son or a daughter because both their names are going to be awesome sauce!
However it would be pretty sweet to break out the name Aurelia first.
Boy: Sparrow
Girl: Aurelia
My husband actually is in love with the name sparrow for our (possible) son and suggested it. I did some research on the folklore of sparrow and it has a very nautical history surrounding it. The story goes that sailors who died at sea and couldn't get a proper burial would pray that a sparrow would come by at their death and fly their souls up to heaven.
And Aurelia for our possible daughter....I fell in love with that name the first time I watched love actually. Annnnd the whole nickname of Ari for short (ARR-ee) which means lion in hebrew.

Aurelia is very very awesome sauce. Never heard this name before, but it's near the top of best girl's names I've ever heard.
Sparrow is not quite as awesome in my book however. I like the mythological story that goes along with it, but it just doesn't feel like a name to me. Nicknames: 'spar' or 'arrow'...
Sounds like it should be a nickname for a melee and archer combatant from days long ago.
I love Aurelia but Sparrow doesn't thrill me - I prefer stronger names for boys.
Congrats on deciding, though - that's half the battle!
Also a July 2013 Mom!

Aurelia is beautiful.
Sparrow would make an awesome middle name. As a first name, it's a little too "wacky celebrity baby name" for me. I believe Nicole Richie named her son this?
