First night in the crib...

Here's hoping I get some sleep! I am a little silly about moving DD into her room for some reason, probably because she is growing. so. fast. and I just won't know what to do with myself without waking to hear her little snuffles. But it will be good for DH and I to have our own space again.

How did your first nights in the nursery go?

Uneventful   DS transitioned very easily.. though, we transitioned him early, too.  I think before 3 weeks he was in the nursery.  He made a TON of noise while he slept.. plus, he would move all around and shook the bassinet so much I was worried he'd tip it!

That's awesome! Yeah, we've obviously been putting it off, and it's probably been mostly me. But she sleeps great, so I'm hoping it's just a few days of trouble if any at all.

Congrats! I hope all goes well. Charlie has been in her crib since we came home (except when I fall asleep nursing). Our room isn't big enough for a bassinet or a pnp and the nursery is literally 7 feet from our bedroom so I can hear her almost as well as if she was in our room.

We transitioned at 11.5 months. I was totally not ready!  

She did great and had no trouble with the transition. I, however, sometimes find myself on the aerobed in her room.

Good Luck!!! She will do great and you will feel better about it soon H did great, it's been about 3 weeks now. The first 2 nights she just needed rocked.

DD didn't have her own room until we moved when she was almost nine months old. I was worried she wouldn't be able to sleep in such a quiet, dark room (we always slept with the tv on) but she slept fine, better even since she would wake up at the slightest noise (ie floor creak) we made.

Hope it's going well! I'm not ready yet! I told DH we need a video monitor first ;] Even though we didn't use one with our other 2kiddos. I think I'm holding out as long as possible with G since she's our last! I hope it's an easy transition for all of you!

DD is absolutely perfect. She woke twice at her usual times for her pacifier, but went right back to sleep both times! I've got high hopes.

We transitioned right before she was 3m.  It was horrible for me--I had major anxiety.  But then I ended up sleeping on the floor for the first 3 nights bc she was up every hour or less  But, she had silent reflux and was not dx yet, so I think laying flat had a lot to do with it.

Aw, poor gal! I feel fortunate that DD has always slept flet (and without problems, thank goodness), so I didn't have to doubly transition her out of a RnP or something. She did great.

I think this will be us too... DH jokes that DS won't have his own room till he's 16.
