Sleeping soundly

My husband that is. Since Lil has had a major set back and refuses to sleep anywhere but our bed for the past week H he has lost the "dear" because I am bitter has been sleeping in the guest room on the other side of the house.

He doesn't get up for middle of the night feedings and is more trouble to deal with if I wake him up in the mornings to take over so I can get some rest. Even if he did attempt a 3 am feeding he would just be so loud and all frustrated and come wake me up asking for help. Look husband, I get that you weren't there for the first 4 months of her life but if you can survive a war zone in Afghanistan I think you can handle a late night feeding on your own.

I want to punch him in the face. Rant over. Please tell me that I am not the only one whose husband isn't picking up the slack?

You are not alone!!! DH sleeps in another room too and it makes me INSANE. he needs his sleep for work, which I totally get, but he sleeps there on weekends. DHs only defense is that DS likes to sleep in bed with me and he's afraid he'll roll over on him. Oh, and if me or DD don't wake him in the morning, he would sleep till noon. Yest he slept till 9am. DH does get up and give DD her milk if its super early and I ask him to, so that's good, but most nights and mornings he is sound asleep.

I wish my DH that d doesn't stand for dear ; ] would sleep in the other room. I would get more sleep. Instead I get you need to make baby boy quieter so I can sleep 5 to 7 times a night. I get it my little guy is a loud eater and sleeper but I can sleep through him sleeping if you can't sleep when I am not waking you up then GET the F out so I can rest darn it!

It's pointless to ask my DH to help in the night.  Clementine won't allow it unfortunately.  I do often glare at him in the night as he sleeps away......  

We just had a good chat about this though.  I told him I was feeling angry at him since he gets to sleep and I literally haven't slept more than 3 hours in a row since our LO was born.  We decided I needed more help in other areas since the nighttime help isn't really an option.  Doing more dishes, taking the dog out before he leaves for work etc.  Honestly, having him pick it up a bit in those areas is making the night easier for me.  We have divided up the work more evenly and it does help.  Good luck!!
