Which Ergo Baby?

Which model of the Ergo Baby carrier would you recommend & why? Is there really a big difference between the original, performance, & sport models?

I just ordered the Sport based on recommendations.  The material is lighter and breathes better.  I believe the Performance is light too.

We love the original but the lighter weight might be better in the summer months. I wouldn't pay a premium though.

We have the original and love it. Used it with DD and will use it with this baby too!

I have the original and the sport. I love both, but I prefer the original. The original has seams (I want to say they're called bullets) where DD's bottom sits. She sits better in it than the sport.

Also, the sport's back is about an inch taller or so. When DD was shorter, the sport rubbed a raw spot on the back of her neck if she was in it for very long.

I live in Texas where it's hot! DD and I are both hot when I wear her and I honestly can't tell that either of us is cooler in the sport. 

None of these are deal breakers, just minor differences. You'll love whichever you choose!

I have the sport just because I got a great deal on babysteals.  For me, the straps are way too big,  I need to tuck them in bc they hang down so low.  I would have preferred the regular model.  My sister owns the regular one and I don't think the fabric makes a difference either way- if you're using it in hot weather the baby will get warm either way.
