Twin bedding?

We're in the process of moving DDs from their toddler beds to twin beds.  We've bought a bed, have an idea about mattresses, but now I'm trying to figure out the bedding issue.  I've looked at Target and not been impressed (kid comforters are pretty slippery and not made of the same material as their current toddler bedding).  Where did you find affordable, but decent twin bedding (comforter, sheets, etc)?

Re: Twin bedding?

  • We ended up going with a combo of a heavy quilt and a comforter. We bought both (matching set) at Target. We experimented with the quilt on top and bottom, but I find it works best on the bottom. When DD is too warm, we just fold the comforter down to the bottom of the bed. Both the quilt and comforter came with sheets, so we have 2 sets, they are different sheets, but both match the rest of the bedding. It works out well.
