Sorry for the delayed posting, but DH took me out for a late breakfast, which turned into Christmas tree shopping, and a Murphy's Law return trip home which included one crazy detour after another (the Xmas tree delivery guys beat us back to the house by 10 minutes, and left at least 10 minutes after us!).
Anyway, onto my fert report. The nurse said we actually got 20 eggs yesterday, that 19 were grade 3 (the best) and 1 was grade 2 (next best). Of those, 16 fertilized, and of those 14 were where they want to see them (2PB, 2PN) and the other 2 were 1PB, 1PN. I Googled those abbreviations and PB=polar body, PN=pro nuclei. Beyond that I didn't explore things yet, I just know you want a 2 in front at this point.
My RE said she won't check them again until Monday, since we are favorable for a 5dt at this point, but if things go awry between now and then, we can always do a 3dt that day.
I go in Monday for labs and a blood flow ultrasound, which basically checks the blood flow to my uterus, and will help the RE determine how long she wants me on bed rest.
So, all-in-all, things are currently looking pretty good for us. I expect a considerable drop-off in quality embryos between now and transfer, and am keeping multiple body parts crossed for a good report on Monday.
Sending happy thoughts and growing vibes to my cycle buddies: jeanna, kimber, and girlieface!
Re: Fert Report
Go girl!! That is so great!! 16! I am really happy for you and needed some good news today! Glad yall had a fun day and that sounded exhausting to this woman who has been on her butt all day soaking in the extra pampering from DH!
I think that if we ever did IVF again our numbers would be better b/c they would know more. For instance, my first injectable cycle was extra long and they had me too low, I am thinking the same thing happened this month...too bad its too much trouble to do a "mock" IVF cycle.

I totally agree, Jeanna. If it comes to that, I think your RE can start you higher, like mine did with me this cycle. Last year I started off at 150, and increased to 200, then 300 of Follistim (and then coasted back down to 0), and started at 2 Menopur, then up to 3, then 4, and then back down to 3.
This time I stayed on 225IU of Follistim the whole time, until I coasted down to 0, and used 3 vials of Menopur until trigger. I'm thinking that, coupled with the microdose lupron helped improved my numbers this time. I was truly shocked to get a better outcome the past 2 days, given that it has been about 15 months since my last IVF and I will be 40 in 3 months.
FX, this is the last cycle for both of us!
