Hi again,
I'm proud to announce that my 31week miracles have grown out of their petite premie and premie clothes! Do you know any type of organization I can donate them too (there are some really nice ones). I was thinking of steering clear of the goodwill/christian help places because I would think they would just get mixed iin with newborn stuff. TIA for any advice you might have!
Re: Preemie clothes donation
Maybe check with your NICU? All of the preemie clothes our babies wore in NICU were all donated. If I ever did have to buy some, I don't think I would have had time to check any stores or goodwill types of places and just would have ordered online.
Or maybe some non-hospital mother/baby centers in your area? A place that helps women that cannot afford much?
PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.
Let me just say thank you for looking for places to donate them. I had a horrible time finding reasonably priced preemie stuff for DD here in Germany, and on FB just a few weeks ago I saw my aunt ask a friend who had preemies last year whether she could have any leftover clothes because her granddaughter could use them for her doll. I was like... um... how about they get put to better use for premature babies as opposed to dolls?!
I agree to check with your NICU. Even if they don't accept donated clothes (mine doesn't), they might be able to point you to places that do.
