Baby Names

Help a lurker! Baby girl due Sunday.

DD2 is due Sunday and does not have a name. I lurked here when we had DD1 in 2010, so I'm back for some suggestions. Guidelines:

1. Last name is short and Irish. Use Graves for reference.

2. DD1 is Penelope. Not thrilled with how trendy it's turned out, but we love her name and it suits her perfectly. No NN.

3.  We like names that are spelled correctly and that are actual names, but would prefer to avoid popular, trendy, or top 100 names. I like names that are more popular in the UK, though.

4. No Lily, Evelyn, Eleanor, Adeline, Hazel, Opal, Pearl, trendy old lady names.

5. Would prefer a consonant ending.

Ready, go!

I find your rule 4 interesting because I would consider Penelope a trendy old lady name. Hmmm...

It is disappointing that Penelope has become trendier since we named DD (FWIW the name was inspired by Penny on Lost :) 2.5 years ago when we named her, I probably would have been on board with Adeline, Fiona or Isobel, but they're just so overdone and expected now - trendy old lady names.

I like Caroline and appreciate your suggestions. I feel like so many names are all the same and we all end up in the same cycle or category, so I'll keep at it.

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:26-27&33-34
