Prefold Recommendations?

Hello! FTM here, planning to use prefolds and covers. I have a stash of 10 covers (thirsties, bummis and swaddlebees) to try when LO gets here. Currently I have some OsoCozy prefolds and I was also gifted some Gerber prefolds at my shower. I'm looking for some input on prefold brands. Has anyone tried Gerber prefolds? I'm thinking I'll at least keep them for burp cloths, because I suspect they don't work that well as diapers. What about the OsoCozy? I've also heard that GMD makes good prefolds, but I'd prefer to buy local if possible. Thanks!

I have heard good things about OsoCozy and I have some GMD and I really like them!

I like my Sweet Pea prefolds... but I've only tried 3 kinds.

I have GMD prefolds that I like. My sister has Osocozy prefolds that she likes. I have Bumkins prefolds that I like too.

LOVE Imagine prefolds from Nickis Diapers. The bamboo ones are crazy good and very absorbent and soft. I like my bamboo ones more than my GMD's and my cotton ones as much as my GMD's but they're cheaper.

I have Bummis, GMD and OsoCozy, and Gerber. I like 3 of the 4 :] I use the Gerbers for rags around the house. The organic cotton options are typically softer, which I prefer. HTH!

OsoCozy makes great prefolds. If that's what is available where you want to shop, go for it. I used the size 1s for DD and was very happy with them.

Gerber prefolds are pretty much useless as actual diapers.

I have OsoCozyozys, they work great, though I've noticed the colored stitching gets loose on some of them. Doesn't hurt anything really, but can be annoying.  I have GMD workhorses and love those, so I'm sure the prefolds are great too. 

The gerbers are probably no good as diapers, but they are my favorite burp cloth!  Keep them for that for sure!

I use unbleached Diaper Rite prefolds from diaper junction. They are indian cotton and absorb good enough for my heavy wetter during the day. However, for bedtime we use Thirsties duo hemp prefolds. They are seriously the most absorbant thing ive used yet.

Thanks, everyone! I'll get started with prepping the OsoCozy prefolds shortly. I'm glad to hear other people (besides the store owner) say they like them before I go ahead and prep them. If we don't like them when she gets here, then we'll try some GMD ones. Also, thanks for confirming my suspicions about Gerber. I know they do work as great burp rags and even dust rags, but I'll only use them for diapering in a real pinch.
