I'm here! and a question about internal fetal monitors.

Hey ladies! Good to see familiar faces!

My boys are two weeks old today and we're so happy to hold them finally after all the stress, worry and anticipation!

One question: One of my boys had an internal fetal monitor on his scalp during labor. There's still a scab on the left back corner of his head, and I'm wondering if anyone knew when that should fall off? Will he have a scar there permanently? This sounds horrible, but right now that scab is the only way I can tell them apart, so I'm in no hurry for it to fall off.

    Welcome and congrats! I don't know anything about fetal monitors, but your boys are adorable! I've always secretly wondered how MoMs were able to tell their kids appart if they looked really similar. Smile

    Welcome! I don't remember when ems scab came off I want to say it was after her fist real bath. But she is not scared. [ I just had a look again to confirm this.] congrats on your boys! Looking forward to your contrabutions to this crazy board.

    Welcome and congrats!  Ours fell off/fully healed around 7-10 days post-birth, but it was also a really small scratch.  As long as it looks to be healing, I wouldn't worry about it.  I'm sure other multiples mommas can give you hints on how to keep telling your cutie pies apart.  It's not easy, especially in the beginning!
