so the cramping has finally stop for now. ive been cramping for 10 days straight. so now im relieved I'm getting a break from maybe the worst cramps ever. now i have to deal with constipation. ive been feeling like i have to go to the bathroom since yesterday afternoon. its driving me crazy because i feel like its ready to come out since yesterday, its just sitting there. lol i called my dr. and he's sending me a script for stool softener, colace 100mg 2x a day. u can get it over the counter but i will get it for free bcuz my insurance is covering it.
so since im hating this feeling, ive decided that the major part of my diet will be be fiber, fiber, fiber! i found a coupon for a juice called Plum Smart. wanted to know if this works? i read it will relieve constipation within 24 hours of drinking a cup or two of it.
does anyone have any other remedies to get rid of constipation? thanks
Re: remedies for constipation?
My two girls Flower and Ayla Faye
I had the worst constipation while PG!!
Shredded wheat cereal was a must. I also was big on making smoothies with a lot of fruit and juice instead of water. I usually put ground flax seed or oatmeal in it to in attempt to up the fiber content.
My heart is as open as the sky.
Read about it on the blog
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
(Sorry in advance if TMI)
I'm now 26W along and have found this symptom to be appearing as much as I dreaded it. I thought I was getting enough fiber but I guess I need to up my levels since 3x now I've been in the bathroom for about 40-60 mins trying not to force anything. (Thank goodness I don't have to worry about hubby needing bathroom since he's deployed!) And still when I was finally able to finish up there was blood involved. Looking on WebMD it says if it happens all the time to consult the doctor but otherwise to just up the fiber and never to force anything.
Should I consult with my doctor already do you think or try adding more fiber and seeing if it continues before saying anything? Next appointment is in 2 weeks.
