WFD?

Yeah, I know it's early and its Friday so there might be a lot of pizza happening tonight. 

DH was bummed that neither of our families made traditional stuffing for Thanksgiving (WTF were they thinking??) so I'm going to make some stuffing tonight. Also apple pie. 

Now I just need a suggestion as to what to do with either chicken or ground beef to go with the stuffing. Suggestions? It's storming out, were not going to the store.

I'm making a chicken and quinoa dish in the crock pot.  It has cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, potatoes, broccoli, spinach, carrots, and celery in it.  I have no idea whether or not it'll be edible.

Seriously, those are the main dishes that make it a Thanksgiving feast. People these days. I always make too much, so buy a plane ticket and come on over.

That sounds like it will come out good. I need a crockpot baaaad.

That sounds so good.

I'm not a fan of baked chicken, it always seems so bland in the middle. I might just mallet those breasts and make some crispy tenders with gravy.

DH is working out of town. I'm thinking I'll pick up a pre-cooked rotisserie chicken. I'll have a baked potato, and Nora will probably have sweet potato because she prefers it.

If I was a good Mom, I'd also cook a vegetable.

Alot of it depends on how DD naps for the sitter. If she naps late we are going to play at the mall and will get subway (so she tires out). If she naps well I will probably pick up a chicken and make a salad.

Nice. You just reminded me that I have a huge sweet potato. I will add mashed yams with mallow and brown sugar on top. And yeah, steamed veggies... I guess.

IKR?  When did Thanksgiving become a fancy, choose-what-you-want kind of meal?  There are rules, people.

I'm on my way to claim my pie.  I'm dropping my children off with you when I get there.  I may or may not take them home with me.

And you thought being left at a gas station was bad.
