I don't know how these blood tests weren't done before by the first RE, but I just got an email from the current RE's nurse saying this last round of testing shows I'm compound heterozygous for MTHFR. Yay. Let's just add that to my LPD, low AMH and the fact that I'm AMA. I'm seriously starting to feel like everything is wrong with me. It's getting depressing. I'll start adding baby aspirin today and we'll do lovenox starting at transfer for the IVF cycle in January.
The farther along we go down this path, the more I think DD truly is a miracle. With all that I feel is stacked against us now, how in the world did we conceive her on our own and carry that pregnancy through with no problem? So very blessed to have her.
Re: XP: Adding MTHFR to the diagnosis
Did your RE add teh baby aspirin and lovenox due to the MTHFR? My friend just got diagnosed with this too. I don't think our (we go to the same RE) has said they will do anything extra. They also have MFI too. Just curious.
I think the same thing about my DS. He was conceived first month on Clomid lowest dosage. How in the world? He is so perfect and smart! Yet now we are in the middle of IVF...??? Crazy.

Compound heterozygous is probably not as significant as homozygous. Honestly, I think baby aspirin is totally harmless and probably helpful for lots of us. Lovenox may be helpful too, esp if you have any other coagulation issue.
Did they check your homocysteine level?
Are you taking L-methylfolate or high dose folic acid?
If not, you should ask your doctor about these things.
