Do you think it's okay?

So I bought a new Woombie this week for LO since he outgrew his old one. I usually wash all of his new clothes before he wears them, but it wasn't machine washable and it takes so long to air dry that I just put him in it right out of the package.
Last night he slept great, but when I woke up he was awake and sucking the heck out of his hands through the Woombie because he was so hungry. I fed him first thing, but am worried that he sucked all of these chemicals out of the cloth into his mouth.
I might be reverting back to my old pregnant-worry-wart-ness, but is he okay? He's acting normally and doesn't have any dye on his mouth or anything...I just worry. What do you think?

there would have to be a really high concentration of chemicals for an ill effect if he is a normal not allergic sicky sick child.
i dont wash anything anymore first.
my child, she is shamed.
