Hi guys,
I'm idk. one of these weird planner people. I do everything in advance. DH drags his feet to the last minute. We got married in May so my new letters are DSD now. DH's are TJD. I like older, more traditional names since they never lose style.
Girl names are so easy for me to think of but boy names are like stabbing my self. They're plain or not cute, ect.
So far I've worked out names like William/Matthew/Alexander/Abigail/Chloe/Zoe/Zachary
but even with the names I like, nothing goes with my last name, which is..Devlin. ugh.
Any type of opinions are highly valued
Re: Thinking of names and nothing works with my new last name.
And I love all the boy names you picked, especially William. Actually, all three are family names of mine. Alexander is our boy MN if we have a boy. Matthew is a big family name; three Matthews including my husband, so of course I also love that.

Devlin is a cool last name. Seriously. Way better/easier to work with than mine. That said,
I'd nix William because I don't like the flow of the ending with the ending of Devlin.
Matthew is fine, just NMS. Alexander sounds nice. Zachary is okay.
I really dislike Abigail, but it sounds fine. Chloe is NMS, Zoe is cute.
None of these names are awful with the last name, though! Other suggestions:
boys- Jack, Michael, Patrick, Arthur, Sean, Graham, Edward
girls- Anna, Lily, Lucy, Eliza, Sabrina, Cora, Elisa, Moira

I have to say Matthew and Zoe sound really good to me... of those ones you listed, those are my favorite and sound really nice with your last name.
^^All of this! I think you don't think they sound well with your last name because it's new and weird to you in general. Trust me you will get used to it. Just say it outloud a lot.

DH and I have a dispute about how many syllables LN has. According to him, I incorrectly pronounce a "silent e." Hello! Its there and I hate when LN is spelled wrong.
We have a "th" in our last name so Ethan, Matthew, etc are all off our list. And our LN rhymes with "bridge" so Bridget which I love is out as well.
I think your last names is nice and short and won't be spelled wrong -- all pluses in my book. I would just stay away from names like Devin.

oooo, I like Jack Devlin ... Sound like a secret agent, or the most interesting man or something.
Dude, your last name is Devlin, I don't see the big deal?
I grew up with a boy whose last name was Butt
You're fine.

WOW. That kid needs a sympathy pat on the back.
DH mainly said that his school nickname was Devil, so not much goes with that. I dont like the initial D for a last name and every name I pick just sounds wrong. But it is nice to know, there's worse out there.
