How do you prep your new to you (used) diapers?

I have a combo of prefolds/covers and some pocket diapers that I bought used to figure out what will work best for us. What do YOU think is the best way to go about preping them?

I would just wash them once in whatever detergent you're using for your other dipes.  However if you use them and notice any issues (repelling, amonia smell etc) then I would strip them.  GL and HTH!

I always give my used dipes a good stripping. It just takes a day and it's a little bit of a pain but I think it's worth it to get rid of any yeasties and things that may be lingering from someone else's kid. If it were me personally I would boil the prefolds and strip the rest in my washing machine with blue dawn.

I asked the same thing a couple weeks ago. I ended up putting some bleach in with the diapers on the first wash. Then, I washed again with just detergent. I felt better bleaching them.
