Grade 2 Ankle Sprain/Torn Ligament

When my son was 2 months old I broke my right foot and it took almost 4 months to heal. I was on crutches for about 2 1/2 months and then in a walking boot. My son is now two years old and I tore a ligament in my right ankle the other day. They said it can take up to 12 weeks to heal. I am in a boot and do not need crutches THANKFULLY!!!  But can I just vent??  It is so annoying to not be able to walk normal, wear a normal shoe, just hop out of bed without having to put on a brace, carry my son around without worrying about bearing extra weight, workout, etc.

I know people have it WAYYYYYY worse than I do  and I am so fortunate that my injury wasnt worse that it is! This whole situation really does make me grateful for what I do have but I guess I am just having one of those moments!

 Thanks for letting me vent!

Re: Grade 2 Ankle Sprain/Torn Ligament

  • Looks like you two have been through quite a bit together.  So how did you manage a newborn on crutches?

I feel your pain, I have broke my ankle several times over the years.  Hope you get better soon.
