Steroids

So, my baby has had a really bad cough he picked up from his older brother. The doc put him on a non steroid thru an inhaler but the cough was still there, so she wanted to put him on a low dosage steroid. We go back on Saturday for the third time to see if this will work. I am so paranoid about steroids, but I guess this is best for him and am trusting her advice. Anyone btdt? Freaking out about possible side effects but I know logically it will be ok for a short time...argh hate giving this to such a young baby!

    My son was on them for a horrible infection and then preventative maintenance from age 1.5 to almost 2.5. I was so paranoid but my pedi said any side effects of the steroids are worth preventing my son from having breathing issues again. It was hard but one day he grew out it and has been great since. Hope it gets better for you.
