H is seriously obsessing over crazy, hard to spell/say names and I am getting really frustrated. I am not totally against having a Scandinavian (or something along those lines) name, but they aren't my favorite. At all. I could live with a normal-ish middle name.
Any ideas? So far, the ones I don't hate and can be used as middle names also are Thor, Odin, Gunnar, etc.
PS~ I don't mean to be rude in saying I don't like them, I know some of you ladies love them, which is why I came here for help.
Re: Help with Scandinavian boys names
If you're not on board, they need to be off the discussion table. Period.
Yeah, those are kind of over the top for FNs. Maybe you need to remind your DH that he's naming a human, not an action figure. Someday little Thor will be a middle aged man and might not appreciate his daddy's wild ideas for a good first name.
And there are plenty of not-so-wild Skand names out there... my cousin's son is Axel... I've also known an older man who spelled it Aksel, which is very traditional.
I always thought Odin would be a badass boys name but I listen to too much metal.
Maybe try looking for viking names? They don't "sound pretty" though...
I was going to say Axel, Anders, or Henrick.
ETA: I quite love Henrick.
DH loves rally and will occasionally throw out one of the drivers' names (being that many drivers are Scandinavian). Of those (and their variations), there are
MikkoAndreas
