when it's good to not find the HB

I had my next monthly OB check up today.  Uterus is way higher than I thought, but right where is should be.

So glad I checked for HB this am before going in because my Dr. couldn't find it on the doppler (but she could hear baby moving).  I personally think she wasn't trying very hard and hoping for an excuse to take a peek! Smile  Baby looks like a baby now and we saw a nice strong HB on the u/s Big Smile  Love getting a surprise peek at baby bear!!

And my a/s is set for 12/27 at 7:30 am... oh boy!

Yay for a sneak peek! It's so nice that your Dr. decided to do that. I had always planned to be team green with my first LO, but after doing a little reading and my emotions changing through the first few months of pregnancy... it changed. One, I am OCD and can't stand not being able to be organized and plan. Second reason, I read somewhere that it helps to soothe you and bond with the baby better when you know more about the little person you have in there. I can honestly say those things have rung true for me since I found out.

    GL with the a/s!

I agree about being better able to bond with knowing the sex--I call the little one by his name all the time now, and he feels much more real to me because I know.  But people did not know until birth for thousands of years--so there's certainly no harm in having a surprise!
