Recs Please: Point and Shoot Cameras

Trying to make my christmas list and need a nice not crazy priced point and shoot.  I have a great DSLR Cannon but want something smaller to take with when we hike or go to the beach etc.  Any recs would be great thanks!

    Canon Powershot - hands down.  My mom still has mine from 8+ years ago, and it's going strong.  I beat the he11 out of that camera.

    I am looking for a point and shoot too. I am going through the best-seller list on Amazon and trying to find the best of the lower price ones. # 7 is only $65 so I might get that one today.

    I have a Nikon pns but really I just use my phone as my pns and my dslr for when I want good pics.

    I have a Canon Powershot too that's probably about 5 or 6 years old now.
