D&C Yesterday/Update

First off, thank you ladies SO MUCH for the overwhelming amount of thoughts and prayers. Everything went well and we ended up sending out for chromosomal analysis because this loss truly is unexplained (I was on Lovenox this pregnancy, which was thought to be the correct treatment for my diagnosis). I've had it done before and everything was normal then, but my OB wants to be sure this time.

Anyway, my OB told me he now wants to do a HSG. I had a 3D ultrasound and a SHG done already (one by an RE, one by my OB) and both confirmed a bicornuate utereus. But now that I've had this 5th early loss, he's thinking that maybe both ultrasounds are wrong because a septum could explain the losses, while a bicornuate does not. I also have no trouble getting pregnant (obviously, 5 times in 3 years). I'm actually quite devastated about this because the HSG is what we were originally going to do and then he decided the SHG would be better because we know there is no problem with my tubes. I just don't know what to think anymore. I feel like this is just another test that is going to show the exact same thing. I think I'm truly ready to give up, but if my OB thinks these things are worth doing, I'm obviously going to do them. It just plain sucks. I really thought that I'd have this d&c, we'd do the chromosomal testing, everything would come back normal, and that would be it.We'd be done. But now, with the HSG thrown into the mix, not only do we have to wait for the testing results, we now have to wait until I start another cycle and am 10 days in just to do another test. It just seems like forever away and just more time to live on the false hope that something is going to change.

I am just so sorry, sammer. I wish I had more helpful things to say. This is just so unfair and so sucky and I am so sorry it is happening to you. Big hugs.

I am glad your DC went fine. But so sorry you are left without answers and feeling this way. Big hugs and I hope you are resting up and healing ok.

Oh Sammer, I know it's frustrating. We sought a 2nd opinion after our 4th loss and really expected to hear the same things as always. That RE, however, wants to do other testing so now we are just waiting for my first AF...again. In limbo. Always. Sending big hugs your way.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this!  I'm glad they're giving you the attention you deserve, although I do wish it was an easier road for you.  May time speed up for you during this sucky time.  Hopefully all the craze with Christmas approaching, like shopping and whatnot, will help to make the time fly by!  Best of luck.
